Al Jufferi memilih mundur saat lawan Indonesia
Jamari Mohd Al Jufferi, atlet silat Malaysia harus terhenti langkahnya untuk meraih medali emas di Asian Games 2018. Jamari Mohd Al Jufferi harus mengaku kalah dari pesilat asal Indonesia, Komang Harik Adi Putra.
Namun bukan karena kalah dalam bertanding, kegagalan Al Jufferi dalam menyabet emas itu dipicu oleh keputusannya sendiri saat bertanding. Saat duel berjalan sengit dari awal hingga menjelang akhir pertandingan terjadi sebuah insiden yang membuat pesilat Malaysia, Jamari Mohd Al Jufferi, mengundurkan diri.
Al-Jufferi merasa dicurangi wasit
Al Jufferi merasa dicurangi oleh wasit saat laga tinggal dua detik lagi hingga akhirnya ia memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri. "Saya tak marah dengan Komang. Dia sama seperti saya, hanya seorang pesilat. Kami hanya mencari medali," tutur Al Jufferi. "Yang saya sayangkan adalah wasitnya. Saya merasa tak dihargai," lanjutnya.

Kubu Malaysia melakukan protes dan mundur dari laga. Akhirnya, pesilat Indonesia Komang Harik mendapat emas ke-17. Peristiwa tersebut tentu membuat impian yang ingin Al Jufferi capai harus pupus. Seolah merasa bersalah atas aksinya di pertandingan silat, Al Jufferi tampak menangis.
Dilansir dari laman Instagram Menpora Malaysia, Syed Saddiq, Al Jufferi terlihat menitikan air mata. Sambil bersimpuh di kaki Syed Saddiq, Al Jufferi bersedekap seraya meminta maaf kepada Syed Saddiq. Melihat sang atlet yang merasa bersalah, Syed Saddiq langsung ikut bersimpuh dan memeluk Al Jufferi.

Kesedihan dan rasa penyesalan seolah menghampiri Al Jufferi. Al Jufferi juga sempat berteriak sambil menengok ke atas. Ingin menenangkan sang atlet yang baru berjuang, Syed Saddiq langsung memeluk Al Jufferi.
Unggahan yang dibagikan Syed Saddiq itu akhirnya dilengkapi dengan caption. Dalam caption, Syed Saddiq menyebut bahwa Al Jufferi telah menjadi pemenang meskipun harus kalah dari pesilat Indonesia.
