Gelaran Jogjakarta Truck Festival (JTF) 2018 telah dihelat di Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Sabtu-Minggu (8-9 September 2018). Event festival dan kontes modifikasi yang diikuti ratusan peserta itu melahirkanThe Best King of Truck Modification.
Berbarengan dengan acara penutupan JTF 2018 Minggu malam, tim juri menobatkan gelar raja modifikasi kepada truk Avengers milik Danu Siswoyo (33).
Sebelum terpilih sebagai The Best King, truk 'Avengers' berhasil menyabet gelar dari sejumlah kategori penilaian, di antaranya juara I kategori The Best Truck Exterior, juara II The Best Truck Social Media Favourite, juara I The Best Truck Lighting, juara I The Best Truck Interior, dan juara III The Best Extreme Modification.
"Baru pertama kali ini ikut kontes, bersyukur bisa menyabet The Best King," kata Danu, ditemui detikOto di JEC, Minggu (9/9/2018).
Truk 'Avengers' milik Danu memang telah menjadi magnet sejak hari pembukaan JTF. Modifikasi truknya cukup mencolok baik interior maupun eksteriornya.
Dari interior, mulai cover jok dan dashboard berbalut kulit kulit sintetis, hingga audio video dipadukan dengan lighting yang terkesan mewah. Sisi eksteriornya, seluruh bagian dicat karakter super hero Avengers, seperti Hulk, Thor, dengan ikon utama Iron Man.
Bagian suspensi, Danu menggantinya dengan sistem suspensi udara layaknya yang terpasang pada bus. Sedangkan lampu belakang, terpasang dua buah lampu Toyota Fortuner.
Total Danu merogoh kocek sekitar Rp 300 juta untuk biaya modifikasi truknya itu. "Terima kasih saya ucapkan kepada Setia Budi Jepara (karoseri) yang turut mendukung modifikasi truk saya, bengkel cat Customize Art Semarang, dan tim lainnya," ujar pria warga Kendal itu.
Meski menjadi trucker sejak tahun 2007, Danu mengaku baru melirik modifikasi truk tiga tahun terakhir. Sehari-hari, dia bekerja mengangkut telur ke Jakarta, Bandung, dan Cirebon.
"Ini truk saya satu-satunya, ya setelah kontes ini mungkin truk akan saya pakai harian, untuk angkut telur karena meski saya modifikasi tapi secara fungsional masih memenuhi aturan lalu lintas," imbuhnya.
