Putroe merupakan seorang komandan perempuan dari Tiongkok berpangkat Jendral dari China Buddha. Meurah Johan, suami pertama Putroe, adalah seorang pangeran yang telah mengalahkan pasukan yang dipimpin oleh istrinya tersebut di medan tempur.
Sayangnya pada saat malam pertama, Meurah Johan meninggal di tempat tidur dengan tubuh membiru.
Kematian Meurah bukanlah kesengajaan, dan Putroe Neng tidak tahu menahu masalah ini.
Kemudian pada malam pertama untuk kedua kali, sang suami dari Putroe Neng kembali meninggal.
Kejadian ini kembali terulang hingga 98 lelaki yang menikahi Putroe Neng berikutnya.
Setelah diketahui sebabnya, ternyata ada 'senjata tersembunyi' berupa racun yang terletak pada organ intim Putroe Neng. Racun ini tidak ditanamkan oleh Putroe sendiri, tapi justru oleh neneknya.
Maksud dari sang nenek adalah untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya pemerkosaan terhadap cucunya saat masa-masa perang. Hingga pada akhirnya Putroe Neng kembali menikah untuk yang ke-100 kalinya dengan Syeikh Syiah Hudam.
Lelaki ini akhirnya bisa menarik racun yang ada dalam tubuh istrinya dan dapat melewatkan malam pertama dengan bahagia. Sayangnya, meski racun sudah tak lagi bersemayam di tubuh Putroe, pasangan ini sama sekali tidak dikaruniai keturunan.
